Unit Description

Sodexo is seeking a Senior Area Manager, Support Manager for their Business & Industry division for a prestigious law firm in the heart of New York City. This is a newly renovated space with a dynamic food program. Union and non-union staff . In this high level role, you will serve as the lead Executive Chef in support of one specific law firm account.  You will be responsible for providing culinary/food support and training for daily operations, rebids, refresh programs, new sales, high end catering events, construction projects and implementation of innovative culinary programs and training. This position will oversee roughly $5M in total managed volume and oversee a staff of 20 Sodexo union employees.

In addition, this position will serve as the point of contact to support openings and various existing accounts within the NY Metro area. This individual will report into the VP of Operations.


The successful candidate will have at least 6-7 years food/culinary management experience, solid marketing skills, a strong financial acumen as well as excellent communication, leadership and customer service skills.


Ideal candidate will have a passion for food, ability to manage people, organizational skills to manage multiple projects varying in size as well as presentation skills.

Position Summary

Supports Operations through the successful dissemination of programs, processes, and products.  Plays a key role in supporting start-ups, operations training, standards implementation and audits.  Performs workload analysis for staffing purposes, retention efforts and develops / deploys new best practices.  Provides input regarding opportunities for product / service or brand enhancements while test piloting products/programs, etc.  Assists with modification of products / services to meet operational needs.  Assists with Unit Operating System development and initial installation of new products, services and programs.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 5 years   

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years in operations, operations support, or a related field
