\u003Cdiv data-field=\u0022Position_Description\u0022 class=\u0022Summary\u0022\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EPOSITION PURPOSE\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003EThe Sr. Manager, Pricing Strategy will lead a team of managers and Sr. Analyst to provide subject matter expertise, project management, and analytical support to the development and execution of Pricing Strategies. The Sr. Manager will understand the needs of constituencies, including the merchants, Pro team, and our subsidiaries, to develop and test hypothesis as well as to work with the development team to prioritize IT development. The Sr. Manager will work with cross functional partners, including marketing, ops, strategy and others to ensure end to end thinking on strategy and execution.\u003Cbr /\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EMAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E-50%-Develop relationships with cross functional partners to collaborate and to determine company goals and objectives, conduct standard and ad hoc analysis to identify key drivers of performance, recommend pricing decisions and strategies that will improve category performance and develop financial plans that reflect pricing changes. Typical analysis will include: (a) marketplace and macroeconomic trends impacting the category including competitive assessment, (b) customer segmentation and responsiveness (c) line structure and line structure engineering, (d) localization, including defining pricing zone definition, (e) promotional effectiveness, (f) transaction and basket penetration, (g) consumer psychology. \u003Cbr /\u003EDevelop executive-level presentations that summarize analysis including historical performance, strategic rationale underpinning pricing decisions and expected financial impact. \u003Cbr /\u003EReport out to all levels of management. Accountable for accuracy, thoroughness, thought process, timeliness and viability of recommendations. \u003Cbr /\u003EProvide process management for monitoring progress and proactively identifying and communicating issues. Review project milestones, conduct postmortem analysis and integrate new sources of data that support category objectives. Lead team in structuring strategy reviews, assessing requirements and design analysis. \u003Cbr /\u003EProvide thought leadership to team relative to reviews. Oversee development of executive-level presentations that summarize analysis including historical category performance, strategic rationale underpinning pricing decisions and expected financial impact. \u003Cbr /\u003ELead report out to all levels of management.
