Sodexo is seeking a talented Quality Assurance Manager for one of our large pharmaceutical clients located in Kalamazoo, MI or Andover, MA.

 

The Quality Assurance Manager is part of the Pharmaceutical Quality & Compliance Group within Global Strategic Accounts and has responsibility for oversight of Quality and Compliance for the account in 3 sites.

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Conduct audits and manages the global Quality Management System for the Sodexo business in the pharma client account sites
  • This role links to the Global Quality Director who is the authority for all Quality and Compliance strategy and operations globally within Sodexo, where services are delivered in the highly regulated areas of Pharmaceutical & Consumer Health
  • Lead and manage quality and compliance related activities and oversee compliance aspects of operational activities carried out by Sodexo for the client pharma account
  • Perform audits of all GxP services which Sodexo provides to its pharma client in the three sites
  • These services include GMP cleaning, Pest control, and Waste Management as applicable
  • Work with client and Sodexo teams to investigate root-causes and implement corrective actions where GxP deficiencies are discovered.  Influence and coach Senior Management to ensure robust quality systems are in place
  • Present quality related topics to local and group senior management
  • Maintain communication with key Sodexo and client personnel
  • Provide guidance and assistance to Quality and Compliance staff (Sodexo and client)
  • Conduct site visits to implement quality systems and ensure that regulatory/client expectations are being met
  • Conduct training in GxP and QMS topics, to the wider Sodexo operations team
  • Advise clients and Sodexo, of any changes in legislation which may impact the business

 

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have: 

 

  • Science degree or degree plus 5-10 years pharmaceutical quality experience
  • Candidate should have a solid grounding and practical experience in working in the pharmaceutical environment, particularly in laboratories and facilities management areas.  The candidate should also have a good background in auditing
  • Reporting: Ability to write persuasive and effective reports and communications, which clearly define findings and their causes, and recommendations
  • Analytical Skills: Must possess strong analytical skills. The ability to systematically gather information from a variety of sources, analyze information, identify implications of data, draw appropriate conclusions, generate viable alternative solutions to a question or problem, and evaluate the consequences of choosing each alternative
  • As this role interacts with senior client representatives, and senior Sodexo staff, excellent communications skills (verbal and written) are required, with an ability to recognize the values within different cultures and acknowledge different ways of working
  • Fluent English
  • Quality professional, ideally within pharmaceutical organization
  • Minimum 5 years' Pharma Quality GXP experience with significant recent experience in senior positions
  • Established knowledge of Pharmaceutical GXP regulations globally
  • Knowledge of CSV
  • Extensive knowledge of current market conditions

Position Summary

This position reports into the Sodexo Global Quality Assurance and Compliance Group and is focused on supporting GxP and Compliance activities at Pharmaceutical and Life Science sites.  Supporting Sodexo Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) teams, the QA and Compliance Manager works to ensure all elements of the Quality Management System are adhered to. Primary duties include:

  • Ensuring areas are audit ready at all times (Conducting/Supporting L0-L4 Audits)
  • Incident mgmt. (CAPA mgmt., Deviation Investigations, RCA)
  • System Administration (EQMS, My Learning, CDMS, IMMS, etc.)
  • Technical Writing
  • Other QMS Element Mgmt. (training, change control, risk mgmt., KPIs, Project Management)

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Functional Experience 3 years
