Senior Manager, Reputation Communications Corporate Affairs

The Reputation Senior Manager will help shape and support our Chief Patient Officer's (CPO) communications platform and advance Pfizer's commitment to patient-centricity and health equity. Reporting into to the Vice President, Enterprise Reputation within the Corporate Affairs function, the Senior Manager will also work closely with the Director, Enterprise Reputation on external communications that focus on thought leadership for senior executives.

The colleague will be point on all external speaking engagements for the Chief Patient Officer (CPO), including leading on talking points and briefing book development, serving as point on all logistics with event organizers and leading the development of CPO content across Pfizer corporate channels. The role will also work across teams to lead communications reaching multicultural audiences with the goal to address health disparities and reach diverse populations

The Senior Manager also serves as a support on key reputation programs including the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) visibility plan in coordination with Business Unit and Worldwide Research and Development/Medical (WRDM) communicators and supports the development and management of communications programs and content that address key reputation drivers from scientific innovation to issues such as pricing to promotion of access programs.


**CPO Thought Leadership:**

+ Lead CPO communications platforms

+ Develop communications materials and manage and logistics for U.S. and global events

+ Draft and edit keynote speeches

+ Draft and edit decks to accompany keynotes/presentations

+ Partner with media & digital communications, enterprise (internal) communications and Corporate Affairs functions on all communications programs and content creation to support Pfizer's Chief Patient Officer

+ Serve as point on CPO-driven partner engagement efforts, including a steady cadence of advocacy partners calls, to drive awareness of Pfizer's patient-centricity and health equity work

+ Build and maintain highly productive relationships with external agency partners, as appropriate

+ Drive continuous improvement of work streams to identify and leverage efficiencies

**Executive Visibility and Thought Leadership:**

+ With primary focus on the Chief Patient Officer, support executive visibility & thought leadership for Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and ELT-1 across Pfizer

+ Work with earned media and digital teams to appropriately promote executive visibility & thought leadership opportunities across earned and Pfizer Owned & Operated channels

+ Serve as a resource for all colleagues engaged in executive visibility enterprise-wide

+ Update master executive visibility plan as needed

+ Work across conferences to ensure impactful Pfizer representation at each event

+ Work with region communications team members to support region priorities and engagements outside the US

+ Communicate key milestones to Corporate Affairs leadership teams and the business teams

+ Report program metrics and regularly communicate progress to team


Educational Requirements:

+ Bachelors degree required, preferably in communications, English, health or related field.

+ Experience in healthcare/pharma sector preferred.

Capability requirements:

+ 7+ years of experience and demonstrated skills in developing, managing and delivering communications strategies and plans, preferably in a large, complex organization

+ Demonstrated expertise in working with senior executives and understanding of how communications advances business strategy and corporate reputation

+ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey complex ideas to colleagues and external audiences.

+ Prior speech-writing experience

+ Demonstrated initiative, creativity, and strategic, analytical and leadership capabilities

+ Knowledge and experience with social media and digital communications

+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-based environment and with multiple internal and external stakeholders; influence/negotiation skills and relationship management capabilities a must. Global/international experience a plus. Ability to represent a point of view a must.

+ Prior experience communicating about healthcare, patient-centricity and health equity

+ Strong communication planning, execution and process management skills

+ Strong understanding of health care industry and mainstream and social media outlets

+ Strong interpersonal skills to quickly build rapport and credibility with Pfizer affiliates and leaders as well as key internal and external stakeholders
