This position is required for AT&Ts Network transformation strategic direction since today and going forward NEO has greater need for innovation with Network Strategy & Support, 5G, Fiber to provide high-value technology and solutions. The role will influence the delivery of system automation capabilities across AT&T enterprise architects, engineers and managers across business units within the whole company. It will drive delivery of system automation enablers for key CTO and business initiatives 5G, RAN, 5G Core/NC, FN, SDN, Fiber, ROADM, Win Home. This includes driving towards a single source of truth network inventory platform enabled by leading industry CMDB platforms. This role will be integral in the Network Transformation initiatives driving new strategies, implementation of tooling and leading change.

Position Summary:

+ Senior Systems Engineer is a technical position requiring 7+ years of experience in Telecommunication system engineering and architecture.

+ The candidate shall know a major subset of 5G, Fiber broadband, or telecommunication OSS systems (large carriers) and to be able to quickly learn any.

+ Candidate shall be able to produce specifications and requirement for such improvements and assess the high-level costs associated with those improvements.

+ The work includes studying new/emerging technologies, producing prototypes and proofs-of-concept, and assessing the benefits of migrating to these new technologies as compared to implementation costs/risks.

+ This is a hands-on leadership position in which the candidate is expected to lead by example, be able to resolve technical issues of the team, and assess the teams progress cadence with respect to acceptable norms.

+ The candidate shall also be able to effectively communicate transition/improvement plans, breakdown functionality among OSSs, and assist is breaking the effort into technical work packets and align them to the technical team.


+ Hands-on working experience with relational and graph databases

+ Understanding of asset management, routing, VRF, VPN, IP address management

+ Working knowledge of applicable TMForum open APIs

+ Working experience in Cloud environments (e.g. Azure) and ServiceNow

+ Solid understanding of software development methodologies such as SAFe/Agile/DevOps

+ Independence: ability to participate in and lead projects in a highly collaborative environment

+ Analysis and Problem Solving: The ability to solve complex, critical problems and use extensive research and interpretative thinking. Ability to utilize innovative methods to develop solutions to problems

+ Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing


+ Preferred PhD (with 5+ years of experience) degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics.

Working time: EMEA

Location: Brno, hybrid model (2 days in office minimum)
