The Upjohn Strategy Team reports to Pfizer Upjohn Greater China Regional President, supporting Upjohn China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong General Managers. This Team works closely across Upjohn Greater China Sales, Marketing, Finance, Government Affairs & Market Access, Regulator Affairs, Medical, and Supply functions etc., and also aligns frequently with Global Upjohn Teams over global top down topics.

The overall mission of the Strategy Team is to set the right direction & business growth for Upjohn Greater China Region through policy & market assessment, strategic planning, new products opportunity evaluations, and unique projects that would create significant values & impacts. This Team has led many key projects in recent 2 years, including QCE / VBP 4+7 & expansion assessment, annual OP budget directions, business review analytics for senior management, new portfolio assessment, and special global projects with significant impacts.



[ **Role description** ]

At high level, this Senior Strategy Manager role will be responsible to support the Head of Strategy & the Team to act as a Senior Project Manager leading specific initiatives for overall growth generation within Upjohn Greater China Region, for example:

Support high-priority new portfolio opportunity assessment, so can bring in additional growth for the Region. Lead key business analysis for Senior Leadership Teams, such as business review analysis, annual OP budget cycle deck, and gov't policy impact study etc. Carry out key top-down projects for the Region, which would impact the Upjohn organization or future path significantly.

Through this role's on-job training from the Head & hands-on experience from interactions cross-functions, the candidate will be able to learn and develop one's career via the following:

Deeply understand overall Greater China pharmaceutical industry dynamics associated with Upjohn Greater China's diverse healthcare ecosystem, for example: China's QCE / VBP / URP development, gov't policy & different commercial models Taiwan's DET / NHI planning Hong Kong's public / private / retail market segments



Develop a very versatile and well-rounded set of both hard & soft skills, for example: Hard skills such as Excel modeling, literature research skills through various databases, business development capabilities, strong business sense & analytics for business reviews, Pfizer OP cycle preparation, and slide writing etc. Soft skills such as story telling, presentation skills, communications skills, and ways to maneuver within a big pharmaceutical company etc.



Gain valuable international business experience & exposure to senior management, for next possible assignments for more responsibilities.



**[Qualifications]**

This will be a full-time role starting immediately, and key qualifications include but not limited to:

Positive can-do attitude to deliver & execute under time time & uncertainties Education of Bachelor degree or above in relevant studies such as pharmacy, medicine, biology, business, marketing, and economics etc. MBA degree preferred At least 10 years of work experience if not more Significant project management experiences & working with cross functional teams with a result-oriented mentality Track record of promoting collaborative work environment Track record in developing, winning, and executing business proposals Strong communication and coordination skills, including experience communicating to senior leadership (verbally and using presentation slides) Data analysis skills and logical, creative thinking Problem-solving mindset and capability Pharmaceutical / biotech / medical device / consulting industry experience a PLUS Proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese is a MUST
