ADP is looking for a Network Infrastructure Support Specialist who is responsible to manage, operate,
troubleshoot network infrastructure environment. Key responsibilities are break/fix technologies (such
as: router, switches, VPN, DNS/DHCP, Proxy, Firewall, etc.), Root cause analysis, capacity, change
management and Hardware/Software lifecycle management. This candidate will be supporting
infrastructure technologies such as Router, Switches, IPv6, Software defined network, VPN Proxy,
Firewall, DDoS, VPN remote access, Wireless, Packet capture as well as knowledge about scripting.
The Network Infrastructure Support Specialist must have the ability to challenge the status quo both
technically & operationally. He or she must exhibit both an expert level of knowledge in the
infrastructure technologies as well as have a broad understanding across software defined technologies.
Experience with Router, Switches, IPv6, IP protocols, Wireless, VPN, DNS, DHCP, NTP, Proxy, packet
capture, software defined network and concepts of scripting using Python, Chef, HTML5 is preferred.
There will be a heavy focus on how these technologies are integrated using API's and concepts that can
be applied to automated infrastructure life cycle management delivery.
The position is responsible for providing leadership to all aspects of the Infrastructure technologies
projects and activities. You are responsible to work closely with other groups (example: PaaS, GSO,
Design & Build, Service Managers and Architects) to understand why, what and how we resolve
operational issues in an expedite manner.
Key Responsibilities:
* All reported network issues and vendor break/fix coordination escalated from the Tier 1 support
team (NCC)
* Coordinating Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and tracking. Lead RCA investigation and coordinate
actions items with appropriate teams
* Coordinating changes on all Network software and hardware. Review and approve change
records as required.
* Network monitoring, Capacity and Configuration Management. Administer and maintain
network management tools.
* Firewall Change Management - review firewall change requests and supply required
configuration changes. Submit to Security teams for approval and implement changes.
* Hardware and software Life Cycle Management. Mange network device code levels and end of
life hardware tracking.
* Implementation support - Interface with and assist various implementation teams coordinating
and validating network implementations.
* Participate in client life cycle management. setup, support and decommission
* Global Infrastructure Services Project Support. Will be assigned to projects needed to help
maintain the ADP Corporate Network.
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications Required:
* 7+ years of experience in the technology specific field and proven record to manage large
enterprises
* Experience primarily with technologies such as Router, Switches, network protocols, VPN,
DNS/DHCP, Proxy, Firewall, wireless Packet Capture, scripting.
* Must have demonstrated leadership qualities
* Ability to work collaboratively & be a team player
* Expertise in specific technologies & deep understanding of majority of the technology portfolio
* Experience with Visio, PowerPoint, MS Office Suite
* Demonstrated ability to successfully coordinate and solicit input from other IT Disciplines when
troubleshooting issues.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to communicate at all levels of
the organization
* Approximately 10% travel is required
* Bachelor's or advanced degree preferred.
* Vendor certification preferred
