Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Full Stack Development Leader on the engineering team, your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading the technical team in the creation of solutions that excel at performance, reliability and web scalability
  • Guiding coding, testing, defect fixes, and production support, using agile CI/CD methodologies
  • Analyzing current code and existing design with the goal of enacting improvements geared towards making components and processes more efficient for the entire team
  • Leading the overall technical input to iteration planning iterations and representing accomplishments and next steps at team scrums
  • Presenting individual and team status during weekly playbacks or on management calls
  • Identifying and Managing technical and project risks and resolving issues that affect scope, schedule, and quality
  • Effectively leading build, deployment and monitoring/logging tools such as Travis CI/Jenkins, New Relic, Logentries, etc.
  • Evaluating and selecting appropriate tools to enhance the teams productivity
  • Mentoring and collaborating with other development team members

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • 5+ years experience Software Development Applied Knowledge
  • Domain Expertise with Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift and container development paradigms
  • Experience in technical or team leadership as a squad leader, scrum master, or similar
  • Domain expertise in cloud-native application development with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or DB2, etc) or NoSQL Databases (MongoDB, Cloudant, or Cassandra, etc.)
  • Experience leveraging system-wide user analytics and monitoring
  • Experience with front end web frameworks (React, Vue, Angular, etc.)
  • Significant experience with one or more server-side languages (NodeJS, PHP, Java, etc.)
  • Significant experience building and deploying SOA/web services (REST, JSON, XML, SOAP)

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Domain expertise with microservices architecture
  • Source control management experience with Git
  • Domain Expertise with DevOps Technology like Jenkins/Travis CI
  • Domain Expertise leading a technical team using agile methods, iterative development, and continuous integration
  • Demonstrated problem solving, interpersonal, and time management skills to handle complex situations effectively
  • Strong communication skills, and the ability to work directly with stakeholders
  • Self-motivated decision maker, consistently taking initiative to improve code the base and share best practices
