Service Delivery Architect - Routing and Switching

We are seeking a Service Delivery Architect Routing and Switching, and Wireless leading the Strategic Services Practice Large Deal Methodology (LDM) team as part of CX Centers.


The Strategic Services Engine serves to lead delivery of custom CX Center services, increase stakeholder confidence in CX Centers, shift more work to Centers, incubate innovation to scale, and introduce standardization (repeatability, automations) resulting in best in class P/L and transition of work to Proactive Services. More specifically, the scope includes Delivery Strategy (Delivery Methodology, Prioritization, Roadmaps), Demand & Expectation Management, Escalation Management, Performance Management, Continuous Service Improvement, Financial / Cost Management, Relationship Management, and Sales & Marketing Support.  

The Strategic Services Engine is organized into Lines of Business and the Practice. The lines of business focus on the content.

What you will do

As the Service Delivery ArchitectRouting, Switching, and Wireless, you will work with CX Region, Engine, and CX Center Region stakeholders to:

  • Define and document delivery methodology and supporting documentation, including each lifecycle phase Conceptualize (Customer Requirements), Plan (Implementation Strategy), Design and advise cross functional teams across multiple technical, operational and architecture domains.
  • Use your architecture expertise and business insight to participate in discussions around technical aspects and value propositions relating to a customer RFP or an ongoing large deal.
  • Choose and/or define a practical service offer with complete work breakdown structures and scoping guidance.
  • Build staffing framework/plans adhering to the service delivery segmentation in the organization.
  • Identify processes to optimize and standardize to positively impact delivery productivity.
  • Gain agreement by CX Region, Engine, and CX Center Region stakeholders
  • Identify tasks to automate, paper prototyping or developing a proof-of-concept and business case with the Innovation, Disruption & Automation team
  • Identify or develop CX Center capabilities and/or new offers to address customer business and IT outcomes
  • Create and deliver formal and informal training for the CX Center Region and partners

Amongst the qualifications for this role, emphasis is placed on your ability to understand business and technical solutions for a key vertical (one of Government and Utilities; Financials; Healthcare, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Retail; OR Service Provider and Technical Services) and optimize Ciscos CX Centers ability to deliver those solutions profitably.

Cisco CX Centers is force multiplier for Cisco and our partners to simplify digital transformation for our customers through unmatched technical expertise, relevant insights, and relentless automation at global scale.

In the CX Center organizational design, there are 3 functions: Regions, Engines, and Foundations. This Service Delivery ArchitectRouting, Switching, and Wireless role is aligned to the Strategic Services Engine. Engines are expected to:

  • Design, own and implement global delivery methodology for Engine with visibility to regional differences
  • Own disruption and innovation including business cases to take innovation to scale
  • Ensure Delivery Readiness for new & changed offers (working with CXPM & BUs)
  • Actively monitor high quality service delivery and initiate process/tooling improvements

As a part of the LDM team, you will work with a team of highly skilled and motivated individuals with focus on technology and business aspects towards the goal of ensuring successful outcomes for the customer and profitability for Cisco. In addition you will also work with stakeholders from the CX Region, CX Centers Delivery and Strategic teams, Sales, Business Development and the Program Management Office.

 Qualifications and Certifications:

  • BS/BE/BTech degree or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated expertise in routing, switching & Core Cisco R&S platforms like Cisco 7600, ASR 9k, Nexus 7k/9k. Expertise on IOS/IOS-XR, NX-OS. Additional knowledge in scripting and platform/OS will be an added advantage.
  • 8+ years of experience in designing customer technical solutions and leading others in delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and accurately scope projects.
  • Like decomposing complex processes into tasks, steps and predecessor relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence actions of team members outside of function for improved team and service performance
  • Identify, prioritize and deliver training and documentation to drive global consistency
  • Analytical with a strong ability to translate insights into recommendations and actions.
  • Strong business and technical writing skills, coupled with strong presentation abilities
  • Love teamwork, collaboration and have well-developed project management skills
  • Possess advanced Leadership Skills including leading by influence
