Job Summary:

The Shipping & Receiving Clerks primary responsibility is to process material transactions timely and achieve customer satisfaction. The Shipping & Receiving Clerk will interface with Production in order that customer orders ship on time. The S&R Clerk will interface with customers and customer systems as needed.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

Monitor Production output to ensure ship schedules are met.

Determines shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.

Compare identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures of items incoming and outgoing to verify information against bills of lading, invoice, order, or other records.

Provide effective communication and hand off to other shift(s)

Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.

Ensures area is organized and clean at all times and meets all compliance factors

Utilize SCORECARD, SSD, CRATES/ACAP, DDL/EDDL, SNC, CLIPS, GM SUPPLY POWER, and other customer applications as required

Responds to customers requests/questions as needed.

Monitor and respond to container/part data within QMC system, as well as the customers, to ensure accuracy within packaging and on our ASNs

Oversee container receipts for Chrysler and GM and ensure we are not negative.

Process Shippers and ASNs in customer systems as needed

Other duties as assigned or needed

Requirements:

High School Diploma required.

Associate's Degree and/or training, certifications highly preferred.

Two (2) year experience in shipping & receiving in an automotive manufacturing work environment required.

Experience in union work setting preferred.

Must be familiar and proficient in customer systems, such as SCORECARD, SSD, CRATES/ACAP, DDL/EDDL, SNC, CLIPS, GM SUPPLY POWER applications.

Ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external customers to resolve issues

Ability to generate appropriate reports to communicate with both internal and external customers using a combination of excel, ERP, and other software packages

Ability to effectively problem solve and influence others in the resolution of problems

Ability to understand and correct system inaccuracies and issues
