What You'll Do? 

       Actively lead the implementation and operation of new Cisco solutions under the Cross-domain CoE portfolio.

       Drive solution delivery improvements through automation, testing and best practices implementation to optimize deployments, accelerate customer value-realization and improve overall service reliability.

       Understand the customer requirements by supporting pre-sales activities and plan end-to-end architecture, design and delivery of the product or solution. 

       Interact with professional services delivery, Product Management and BU teams to integrate automation in our offers to improve quality and customer experience.

       Collaborate in transformational initiatives to define and improve new delivery methodologies in accordance with DevOps and SRE models.

       Mentor other engineers to enable new capabilities, evangelize best practices and accelerate delivery readiness.

       Be an independent worker within the team to solve complex tasks, ranging from design and implementation, to troubleshooting and test Cisco's best in class software offerings.

       Lead a project team of designers, developers and testers, and interlock with stakeholders to drive the business outcome for the customer.

       Use innovative approaches to solving problems, with a large base knowledge of systems and approaches.

 

Who You are? 

You are focused on creating and implementing visions of software automation, integration, orchestration, and management of solutions for Multi-cloud via Ansible, Python, Terraform, Containers and orchestration along with other Cisco-specific tools.

 

       You are a Software Architect and scripting-savvy who can automate the most complex manual procedures.

       You can be proactive and can seek out/anticipate problems before they happen and take action to avoid them. 

       You continuously expand your skillset to include new tools and approaches.

       You enjoy working with others in a diverse environment, locally and remotely.

       You have a deep interest in automated deployments, so they are clean, predictable and repeatable with minimal impact to availability. 

       You embrace modern DevOps principles and practices.

       You understand the principles of configuration management and release engineering.

       You possess deep analytical and problem-solving skills when required to assist with service recovery in the event of failure.

       You have technical knowledge/experience with enterprise, public sector, service provider IP networks design, fulfilment, operations management, or automation (OSS).

       Leverage internal Cisco experts to provide insights to customers on the best way of implementing recommendations and maximizing value realization.

       Lead client and CX teams in the development of executable plans that include consideration of adoption challenges.

       Lead lifecycle reviews with CX and client and refinement strategies.

 

Minimum Qualifications

       10+ years experience after a B.S or M.S in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

       Subject matter expertise across 3 or more of the following areas: solution development, release engineering, incident management, monitoring, self-service automation, change management, performance and/or chaos engineering.  

       Understanding of networking and software defined implementations (SDN).

       Hands-on experience developing and delivering solutions in a public and private cloud environment.

       Experience in mentoring others to develop programmability and automation skills.

       Good oral and written communication skills, comfortable with groups of people.

       Fluent in English (oral and written skills).

       Must be able to handle multiple tasks at once and work independently with minimal managerial oversight.

Subject matter expertise in software development, programmability, automation, Multi-cloud and DevOps related tools with a minimum of 8 years of experience in 5 or more of the following areas: 

        Automation and Analytics tools: Ansible, Chef/Puppet, Jenkins  

        Linux and Virtualization: VMware, Swarm, Docker, OpenStack, Kubernetes, CentOS/RedHat 

        Programming Languages/Version Control: AngularJS 2.0, Django, Python, JavaScript, Git, Java or any other programming languages is a plus 

        Controllers: NSO, APIC 

        Database: MongoDB, Oracle, Postgres, and MSSQL 

        APIs and Encoding: XML, JSON, Swagger  

        CI/CD, DevOps, Agile 

        Data and software security (PSA), Pen Testing, GIS 

        Cloud: GCP, AWS, Azure 

 

Desired Skills

Strong understanding or certification of:

       Architect level (CCIE/CCDE)

       DevNet Professional Certification

       Cisco Cross-domain CoE solutions: CI/CD, AppD, Matrix, MFS

       Automation and Analytics tools: SaltStack, Splunk 

       Linux and Virtualization: KVM, Vagrant, LXC

       Controllers: XTC/PCE, DNAC, vManage

       Data bus: Kafka, RabbitMQ, MySQL/MariaDB/PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Redis

       APIs and Encoding: YANG, YAML, RESTful, RESTCONF, NETCONF
