The engineering process is highly collaborative. Software Engineers are expected to pair on a daily basis as they work through user stories and support products as they evolve. \u003Cbr /\u003E In addition, Software Engineers may be involved in product configuration, performance tuning, and testing as well as production monitoring. \u003Cbr /\u003E As a Software Engineer, you will be part of a team with more experienced engineers to help build and grow your skills while you create, support, and deploy production applications.\u003Cbr /\u003E \u003Cstrong\u003EMAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E 60% - Delivery \u0026 Execution: \u003Cbr /\u003E Collaborates and pairs with other product team members (UX, engineering, and product management) to create secure, reliable, scalable software solutions \u003Cbr /\u003E Works with Product Team to ensure user stories that are developer-ready, easy to understand, and testable \u003Cbr /\u003E Writes custom code or scripts to automate infrastructure, monitoring services, and test cases \u003Cbr /\u003E Writes custom code or scripts to do \u0022destructive testing\u0022 to ensure adequate resiliency in production \u003Cbr /\u003E Configures commercial off the shelf solutions to align with evolving business needs \u003Cbr /\u003E Creates meaningful dashboards, logging, alerting, and responses to ensure that issues are captured and addressed proactively \u003Cbr /\u003E 20% - Support \u0026 Enablement: \u003Cbr /\u003E Fields questions from other product teams or support teams \u003Cbr /\u003E Monitors tools and participates in conversations to encourage collaboration across product teams \u003Cbr /\u003E Provides application support for software running in production \u003Cbr /\u003E Proactively monitors production Service Level Objectives for products \u003Cbr /\u003E Proactively reviews the Performance and Capacity of all aspects of production: code, infrastructure, data, and message processing \u003Cbr /\u003E 20% Learning: \u003Cbr /\u003E Participates in learning activities around modern software design and development core practices (communities of practice) \u003Cbr /\u003E Proactively views articles, tutorials, and videos to learn about new technologies and best practices being used within other technology organizations \u003Cbr /\u003E Reviews and discusses code from more senior engineers to understand best practices and design patterns \u003Cbr /\u003E Increases business acumen by learning about other parts of the business\u003Cbr /\u003E \u003Cstrong\u003ENATURE AND SCOPE\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E Typically reports to the Software Engineer Manager or Sr. Manager.\u003Cbr /\u003E \u003Cstrong\u003EENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E \u003Cstrong\u003EEnvironment:\u003C/strong\u003E\u003Cbr /\u003E Located in a comfortable indoor area.
