This is a multi-faceted role that involves culinary expertise and sales. The Sous Chef will entice buyers to buy the product that they represent by creating customer interest. Specifically, they will demonstrate the functionality of the product, answer questions, and provide customers with product information. Chefs will read the client/audience, and adapt their approach to best fit the needs of their audience. They will also maintain the condition and appearance of the kitchen and demonstration areas, and ensure that areas are clean and safe. The Sous Chef must be able to charismatically communicate with clients while high-lightening product features/benefits in order to gain buyer interest. and create meaningful
