The Prudential WSG Business Data Management and Governance technology team is seeking a talented Data Quality Specialist to support WSG GI and Retirement business. The individual is a key contributor responsible for executing the data governance strategy for data quality management, data cataloging, master and reference data. The ideal candidate will be someone who can work with all functional areas across the organization and being able to establish accountability, data ownership, policies, procedures and standards while gaining an understanding of the Group Insurance, Retirement and Customer office business as well as be able to support overall enterprise with their data needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for (not limited to)

  • Maintaining a high level of data quality through rigorous analysis and auditing of all data used across the GI systems and reporting needs
  • Work with internal partners, external partners and vendors to ensure timely resolution of data issues and problems
  • Analyze and communicating Data Quality related issues and remediations information in a strategic and accurate manner
  • Perform thorough data profiling with multiple usage patterns, root cause analysis and data cleansing and develop scorecards utilizing Informatica, Denodo, Tableau and/or similar tools
  • Design and execute the data quality mappings that will cleanse, de-duplicate, and then prepare the project data
  • Utilize Informatica Analyst (or similar toolset) to design and develop custom objects and rules, reference data tables and create/import/export mappings

The successful candidate will have following Skills:

  • Develop, document, and implement data quality rules, policies, procedures and standards, dashboards, business glossary, data dictionary, etc.
  • Data discovery, profiling, assessment quality rules definition and automation
  • Data quality measurement and metric generation, and aggregation into quality performance indicators
  • Hands on experience writing Complex SQL/PLSQL queries and verifying the results
  • Perform agile project management activities including planning, execution, tracking and reporting
  • Client facing with excellent communication, presentation and documentation skills ability to communicate at all levels within business from
  • Hands on data governance, data quality and data virtualization tools knowledge are PLUS; such as: Informatica suite, Denodo, Collibra, Global IDs
  • Master Data Management functional knowledge is plus 


The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Strong desire to learn different tools and technologies
  • Proven track record of working effectively with others in a collaborative team environment and building consensus on future actions
  • Excellent understanding in databases development and data structures such as Data warehousing, Oracle, DB2, Big Data, Cloud, Business Object, Cognos, etc.
  • Strong analytical/data analysis and time management skills
  • Hands on experience of data warehousing (GIDW) and data marts is strongly desired
  • Bachelors degree in information technology, business, or related field
