In the Operations division at Edward Jones, youll focus on creating the ideal client and branch
experience. From account opening, to trade settlement and movement of client cash and securities, to statement production and tax reporting, Operations is involved every step of the way. As the backbone of the branch, your work will support all client transactions and processing through the life cycle of the client relationship. Through strategic thinking and cross-functional collaboration, youll continuously identify opportunities for operational efficiency and risk mitigation, supporting the firm in its key objectives.


Position: Sr Digital Product Owner

The Operations division is looking for a Senior Digital Product Owner to lead our Trading Product teams. This role will have accountability for several operational trading systems and will work to prioritize and deliver meaningful changes for the Investment Advisory Program, other firm programs, regulatory changes, industry changes, as well as operational benefits to simplification, standardization and scale. The position has a broad scope of responsibility and requires balancing competing priorities as well as managing stakeholder relationships across the firm. This role will work to attract, develop and lead a team of several Business Analysts to manage solution requirements, dependencies, timelines, and overcome challenges.



Responsibilities:


* The Senior Product Owner serves as the individual accountable for one or more systems, leading a multi-disciplinary and cross-divisional product team to deliver value to internal and external customers of the Firm.
* Reporting to the Group Leader of Trading Product teams, this individual aligns strategy to execution through the development and maintenance of their product roadmap, outlining the body of work expected now, next, and into the future.
* This work includes management of system plans and supporting artifacts encompassing resource needs, stakeholder solution requirements, dependencies, timelines, milestones, and success criteria as necessary to deliver on the promised business value.
* Success in this role requires depth and breadth of subject matter expertise inside and outside the Trading Product area, as well as a foundational understanding of Product Management and Design Thinking theory, and the ability to expand these capabilities within the organization.
* The Senior Product Owner will work with other firm leaders to attract, develop and drive a team of high performing associates, and will play a pivotal role in their ongoing personal and professional development.
* This person will lead their matrixed product team though influence as well as task assignment authority, mentoring and coaching all team members to fulfill the product vision.
* This individual will additionally advise and align with adjacent product teams to ensure a consistent and cohesive progression of the department strategy.

Requirements:

* Bachelors degree in business administration, management information systems, computer science, or related field;
* FINRA Series 7 and 63 or 66 (or must obtain within first six months of employment)
* Minimum 7+ years of experience within Trading Systems
* Broad and deep knowledge of financial services concepts, practices, and procedures, with emphasis in Trading Systems
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills;
* Detail orientation with strong analytical capabilities;
* Ability to overcome ambiguity and deliver results;
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to delegate and direct work in a way that maximizes both personal and team efficiency;
* Teamwork / collaboration mindset with the ability to work with stakeholders throughout the organization;
* A robust understanding of full-cycle software development within an Agile framework;
* Product orientation with a strong sense of ownership.
