Primary Responsibilities:

""
    ""
  • Responsible for driving the design, planning, implementation, and maintenance of F5 appliances and oversees the configuration, operation, and administration of F5 appliances
  • ""
  • Provide assessment of the current environment and provide detailed infrastructure recommendations to consider as part of the steady-state deployment
  • ""
  • Configure and maintain the cryptographic elements within F5, including crypto profiles, identification and validation credentials, encryption and signing keys, x509 certificates, and Hypertext Transfer PS front-side handlers, and advises on key rotation and certificate validation and renewal strategies
  • ""
  • Troubleshoot and debug services using problem determination tools and logs provided with the F5 appliances
  • ""
  • Monitor security bulletins and mitigate issues as necessary to ensure compliance
  • ""
  • Configure monitoring using Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and off-box logging to Splunk-based Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
  • ""
  • Implement reusable patterns and write scripts and programs to facilitate or automate configuration and administration tasks, deployment of applications and services, and migration of service configurations through the development and testing environments to production
  • ""
  • Document operational policies and procedures based on established client requirements and security controls, industry-standard practices, and vendor recommendations
  • ""
  • Conduct research on load balancing products, services, protocols, and standards to remain abreast of developments in the load balancing industry.

  • Lead Proof-of-Concept development

Required Qualifications:

    ""
  • 8+ years of experience in supporting multiple F5 LTM and GTM platforms, including installing, upgrading, and troubleshooting issues on these platforms
  • ""
  • Excellent understanding of VIP creation, Wide IP creation, certificate creation and updates, SSL profile creation, pool creation and pool member modification
  • ""
  • Solid understanding of networking principles and terminology
  • ""
  • Expert knowledge of BigIP, subnetting, Load Balancing, VIPs, and Irules
  • ""
  • Strong knowledge of executing and reading tcpdumps and slldump from F5 Load Balancers
  • ""
  • Expert knowledge of SSL Certificate Management
  • ""
  • Strong knowledge of encryption to include HTTPS in a reverse and forward proxy environment
  • ""
  • F5 Certified Professional
  • ""

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $94,500 to $171,700.
