The Senior Manager will have responsibilities for the reporting aspects of The Home Depot\u0026rsquo;s income tax accounting and reporting function. The scope of responsibility to include managing all aspects of the income tax accounting and reporting process under ASC 740. The position is responsible for leading and partnering with tax professionals and consultants in maintaining effective controls, maintaining compliance with tax laws, Sarbanes-Oxley and accounting policies, interfacing with corporate and business leadership as well as with external consultants, professional organizations and external auditors.\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cp\u003E\u003Cstrong\u003EMAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES\u003C/strong\u003E\u003C/p\u003E\u003Cul\u003E\u003Cli\u003E\u003Cp\u003E60% Tax Planning, Accounting, Research, Compliance, and Audit Defense as needed to meet the goals of the Department. May serve as principal contact on one or more projects with governmental officials, outside counsel, and business partners. Lead special studies to determine tax implications of company operations. Responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely filing of tax returns, and for the accurate statement of accounting reserves, including FAS 109 and FIN 48 where applicable.
