Primary Responsibilities:
  • Develop vision, strategic plan and lead enterprise-wide initiatives that simplify member experience, delivering against Net Promoter Score goals
  • Lead strategic development of tool to map member communications by account and plan type, visualize touch points and their effectiveness to prioritize solutions that simplify and improve the member experience    
  • Develop vision and strategic action plan to transform consumer communications, leveraging real-time data and content logic to personalize and automate deployment throughout an omni-channel experience
  • Create brand and program taxonomy strategy and guidelines to help members understand the breadth of their benefits and increase engagement
  • Initiate and launch an organizational-wide communication and touchpoint governance and oversight process
  • Independently examine the business to develop and present innovative marketing technologies and solutions to senior executives, mobilizing internal and external resources
  • Create consumer research plan, assessing proprietary and third-party data, to identify pain points for segmented member population in specialty plans including Hispanic, special needs, high deductible and value-based networks
  • Increase engagement, reduce costs and improve health outcomes for members in Affordable Care Organization (ACO) plans with differential marketing model
  • Drive 20% utilization among eligible members for specialized care in Centers of Excellence; outline member experience, develop strategic action plan, deploy campaign and enhance digital experience with optimized tagging and analytics to report results
  • Lead strategy and activations that drive engagement, plan understanding and HRA/HSA utilization for high deductible and consumer-driven health plans, in collaboration with Optum Bank
  • Develop campaign test methodologies, leveraging predictive modeling analytics to identify, deploy, and test best performing marketing activities; interpret and visualize data to optimize campaigns based on key performance indicators
  • Deliver market-leading, high-quality and effective creative in multi-media marketing campaigns that include digital, video, podcasts, blogs, social, mobile, collateral, direct mail, etc across enterprise-wide teams and external agencies
  • Develop multi-cultural marketing and business plan, with particular focus on solutions that improve the key drivers of Net Promoter Score among Hispanic members
  • Develop core target member profile and marketing segmentation strategy, leveraging and interpreting data to reduce costs and improve response rates
  • Develop process for competitive benchmarking and assessment
  • Oversee and manage marketing budget to deliver against engagement goals

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business; MBA preferred
  • 8+ years of strategic marketing leadership
  • 3+ years of people management experience
  • Proven success in the development of strategic marketing plans tied to business goals and deployment of innovative integrated marketing campaigns
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver results on complex initiatives
  • Ability to work collaboratively in an entrepreneurial and highly - matrixed environment
  • Proven success managing multiple agency and external vendor relationships
  • Strong, proven analytical skills
  • Digital and direct response marketing to segmented audiences
  • Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills
