Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Storage Sales Rep you will be responsible in maintaining IBM's superior level of customer focus, while negotiating, and closing storage transactions.

They will engage on channel opportunities requiring assistance from IBM to ensure customer inquiries, technical resources, and sales processes are addressed timely. The Storage Sales Rep will leverage Business Partners (BP) as the main route to market for opportunities they are engaged. They will track opportunity sales stage progression and win revenue to maximize outcomes.
  • Working with validated pipeline created by the Business Development Rep you will engage with channel partners and drive them to closure.
  • Through continuous personal development, you will become a subject matter authority and act as an influencer and trusted advisor for your clients.
  • Working closely with the IBM Storage Business Partner network to leverage their skills and client interactions through to close.
  • You are expected to have a social media presence to promote the brand, engage, interact, and influence your clients.
  • You are expected to find a resolution if you encounter an obstacle when generating business and manage to resolution.
  • You will need to have personal drive and ambition to make you stand out.
  • You will need to build your network of contacts both within IBM and your client base, making yourself the "go to" person for your specific field.
  • You will need to take personal interest in everything you do, putting your client first, being prepared to take on challenges, solve problems, and work with your team to get things done.
  • You must have strong communication skills and be able to present complex concepts, designs, and solutions, both verbally and visibly.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Proven skills in sales pipeline progression and forecasting, utilizing CRM systems.
  • Excellent social media presence and the ability to demonstrate such tools in your sales role.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • A high level of energy, initiative, and dedication is essential to enable you to work in a fast-moving and challenging environment.
  • Capability to show evidence of your professional development through courses, certification forums, etc.
  • Two (2) years in sales in IT as well as demonstrated account management skills.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Experience selling Data / Storage Solutions is a plus.
