Your Role and Responsibilities
The Technical Sales Rep, Storage is responsible for supporting the IBM Systems Storage Digital Sales Representatives (DSRs). They will engage with the team and clients to act as a subject matter expert on the IBM Storage portfolio; resolve technical inquiries; help team to seek opportunities of cross-selling; support the team in planning customer activities (territory planning, follow-up calls, webinars). The Technical Seller will provide knowledge transfer facilitating trainings on products and functionalities both to groups and individual team members. The Technical Seller will also develop a specialty within the Storage brand alongside the general portfolio knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
Provide dedicated, focused attention to team engagements to help get maximum value from their IBM solutions.
Own resolution of technical inhibitors to client adoption of IBM Systems Hardware solutions.
Understand client goals and act as an advisor for achieving them.
Articulate and present on the IBM Storage strategy and solutions.
Where available, deliver online live product demonstrations.
Design and ensure high level solution based on customer requirement.
Provide feedback on offerings to relevant IBM teams.
Harvest and reuse architectural patterns & assets for prescriptive guidance.
Provide training and skill transfer to team members.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • Portuguese Language
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical pre-sales.
  • A passion for technical sales and relationship building.
  • Desire to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, results-centric work environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical aptitude to understand the respective business unit's portfolio.



Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
BA or equivalent, preferably in Business, Communications, or technical field.
Previous IBM Storage (or competitive) expertise and product certifications a positive.
A great IBM "fit" - customer and team-focused; service-centric; high energy; and values honesty and integrity.
