The *Strategic Account Specialist - National Accounts* (SAS) is responsible for maintaining and strengthening relationships with strategic National Account customers, serving as a liaison between the customer(s) and the Cox organization, with critical focus on proactively engaging the customer and maintaining positive customer experience. Within each customer hierarchy, the SAS will be expected to engage multiple key strategic decision makers and influencers, many of which may reside in different markets. The SAS will use their strategic relationship building skills to maintain an open and trustworthy relationship with customers to proactively address all service and billing related issues associated with that customer account.

*Primary Responsibilities/Tasks - Essential Functions*


- ACCOUNT MAINTENANCE: The SAS maintains the consistency of assigned strategic National Accounts, ensuring consistency throughout internal databases and proactively mitigating potential issues. The SAS will provide and review the customer inventory, renewals, and term dates of supported accounts with the account and senior management semi-annually; this will require the SAS to gather and review information from SharePoint, conduct account audits, ensure timely and accurate billing credit processing, manage MACD requests and ensure proper segmentation of data.

- CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE: The SAS will act as our clients trusted advisor and be assigned to a base of multi-market, multi-location customers with large geographic footprints. The SAS is expected to build relationship equity and maintain a consistent line of communication with customers, advocate the customers best interest during escalation of issues and coordinate in-person meetings to resolve issues with customers.

- PROACTIVE CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT: As part of the commitment to taking care of assigned strategic accounts, the SAS seeks to proactively address any changes in the customer environment by providing opportunities for this discovery. The SAS will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities within each account and working closely with extended account team to coordinate a strategy for expanding the service portfolio within those accounts.

- ACCOUNT REVIEWS: The SAS is responsible to coordinate regular meetings with the customer and the account team, as well as any other partner groups that enhance the value of the interaction (i.e. RapidScale, Hospitality Network, Cox 2M). The SAS also plays a key role in creating customer-facing presentations using data (current inventory, utilization reports, contact information, new products, etc.) provided by various support groups and team members.

- INTERNAL CUSTOMER REPERSENTATION: As a key part of the Cox Business National Accounts team, the SAS is responsible for ensuring the best possible customer experience while advocating for the customers best interests and the interest of our business. This may include providing data and reporting regularly on customer accounts, installs and customer information for customer surveys for Atlanta. The SAS is expected to have a robust understanding of the entire Product portfolio and their use cases within the National Account arena. The SAS is responsible for maintaining a strong rapport with all boundary partners (i.e. Care, Order Entry, Sales, Project Management, etc.), across all of Coxs markets, and working closely with Order Management to coordinate the install of special high-profile customer meetings and events.

- SALES SUPPORT: The SAS role also partners with the NAM team to assist with MACD and renewal efforts. The SAS may also assist in escalation management on behalf of the NAM to ensure a better customer experience.

Qualifications: *Required *

- GED/High School Diploma

- 5 years business-to-business sales or account management experience

- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute on account strategy plans, structure complex deals, manage multiple strategic partnerships and develop business to support growth

- Experience selling, presenting to and influencing C-level customers, board of directors and end-users in both individual and team sales environments

- Superior strategic, analytical and negotiating skills

- Ability to present complex topics to audiences with varying degrees of technical knowledge

- 3 years of commercial telecom account management experience

- Knowledge of broadly used telecom technologies (i.e. SIP, WAN, hosted telephony)

- Outstanding oral and written communication skills

- Highly proficient with MS suite of applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

- BS/BA degree in related discipline strongly desired

- Knowledge of managed cloud services

- Working knowledge and experience with Salesforce.com and Tableau strongly desired
