What You'll Do

The Collaboration Strategy and Planning Leader will lead a team of Strategic Planning Managers who will drive initiatives around increasing Ciscos market share, profitability, and customer lifetime value for its collaboration portfolio; as well as drive thought leadership cross-architecturally and at the corporate level on pricing and packaging strategies to achieve these objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work with executive leadership and product leaders to define a strategic framework around pricing, promotions, and packaging strategy across the Cisco Collaboration portfolio to:
  • Drive growth, cross-sell and upsell
  • Improve customer acquisition and market share
  • Improve customer lifetime value.
  • Continuously assess pricing and packaging needs, balance the need for simplicity in pricing with monetization flexibility across customer and geographic segments
  • Continuously assess the competitive situation and develop strategies for proactively and reactively addressing competitive threats
  • Work with finance and sales acceleration to create financial models, partner profitability models, and go-to-market models that enable the business to aggressively drive growth in market share.
  • Establish pricing strategies around regional pricing, bundling, competitive pricing actions, and late-lifecycle pricing actions in conjunction with cross-functional leaders from sales, finance, channels, product, and go-to-market.
  • Structure and provide executional guidelines for pricing and packaging at the product level and drive recommendations for end-to-end implementation.
  • Establish a culture of data-driven decision making to drive pricing and packaging decisions.
  • Work with multiple cross-functional, cross-architectural global teams across Cisco to drive a unified approach at the corporate level.

You will work closely with Collaboration Product, Finance, Sales and Marketing Leadership and other Cisco functions and business units to drive commercial strategy, Pricing and go-to-market. Here, you will be able to challenge status quo and be part of a team that is passionate about creating a high performing Business Unit organization.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience at a management consulting firm or leading pricing and packaging for a technology firm, preferably in software or cloud services.
  • Experience leading operational and strategic initiatives in SaaS packaging and pricing.
  • Experience presenting to executives and communicating with technical management teams.
  • Experience working with large amounts of data and ability to draw insights from it.
  • Sales or sales operation in Software-as-a-service, Cloud Services and software is desirable

Desired Skills

  • Master's, equivalent or greater in Business, Economics, Finance, and/or Engineering, or a similar technical/quantitative field.
  • Experience defining, supporting, and/or managing pricing decisions.
  • Experience with cloud services and consumption-based business models.
  • Track record of successful performance with increasing levels of responsibility and independence.
  • Comfort with ambiguity; willingness to move forward based on directionally correct but imperfect information
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to creatively design solutions that address business requirements while accommodating system, process or policy constraints
  • Experience using business intelligence tools such as Business Objects and Tableau
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills, combined with effective business judgment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
