Job Description

The Supply Chain Assistant Representative will assist the Continuous Improvement organization in organizing and executing continuous improvement projects across Manufacturing functions (inclusive of Maintenance, Quality, and Production) and Warehouse Operations at the Burnsville, Minnesota manufacturing plant.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Auditing and identifying bottle necks in manufacturing and warehouse processes
  • Use of lean manufacturing tools and practices to determine and set standards for manufacturing line settings that will optimize output
  • Partnering with the Maintenance function to drive improvement in preventative and active maintenance key performance indicators
  • Partnering with cross functional colleagues across Manufacturing and Warehouse operations to coordinate improvement projects that will optimize results while minimizing impact to productivity during the execution of project activities
  • Managing a site wide action tracking program and communicating progress towards deliverables to applicable stakeholders
  • Developing and managing frontline job skill qualification programs to increase team effectiveness and improve efficiencies across the site
  • Developing and deploying facility/machine cleaning programs
  • Reporting site wide improvement opportunities, trends, and action plans for period meetings

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Lean Six Sigma Experience preferred, demonstrated by successful completion of a major improvement project.
  • 0-2 years of experience in manufacturing preferred preferably food/beverage experience
  • Must possess strong skills, knowledge and capability in lean manufacturing, finance and accounting, project management, human relations, effective communications, and statistics/logical problem solving.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Minimum of Associates degree or equivalent experience required. Preferably in engineering, business, operations management, or similar field
