What You'll Do

You will partner with our Enterprise account team in a pre-sales technical role focused on Cisco technology. Your primary responsibilities include setting up demonstrations, explaining features and benefits to customers, crafting solutions, and configuring products and services to meet specific customer business needs and objectives in Cisco tools. You'll actively participate as a specialist and provides consultative support in their area of specialization to other Systems Engineers. Technical solutions include SP Routing, Data Center Hosting and Switching, Enterprise Routing, Security, SD-WAN, and more.

Who You'll Work With

You will partner directly with one or more strategic account managers and use an extended team to position complex software and hardware solutions, focused on solving the business and technical problems of our customer. In that capacity, you will rely on an extended network of Cisco services professionals and business unit subject matter authorities, with close support of your sales leadership/executives.

Who You Are

  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience in a technical sales role
  • 4G/5G 3GPP architecture familiarity
  • Understanding of Cisco's PGW, SGW, PCRF product families
  • Familiarity with OpenStack
  • Understanding of basic L2/L3 networking protocols
  • Must be able to act in a consultative role with Cisco team and customers.
  • Ability to educate customers, partners and team members on the value proposition, business drivers and closing opportunities.
  • Understand the sales cycle and the challenges that can affect the business.
  • Be creative, determined and flexible in driving demand and pipeline
  • Above average written and verbal communication, listening, negotiation and technical/non-technical presentation skills for an array of different audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, contribute as a team member and assume a leadership role for the team.
  • Ability to collaborate with Cisco business units on future feature improvements that will drive additional revenue.
