SystemsArchitectsin Cisco are technical leads that advice and support Sales teams with pre-sales and deep technical knowledge.

The role of the SystemsArchitectat Cisco is to translate customer needs in to high-level solutions design, and bring new networking technologies to market.

You will get to work across a vast portfolio of Switching, Routing, Wireless LAN, Network Orchestration, Data Center, Collaboration, Video, Internet of Things and Security.

You will touch Cisco's enterprise technology solutions.

In this job, you will:

oTranslate customer requirements into high-level solutions designs.

oYou will work closely with customers to bring new technologies to market.

oLiaise with the Business Units and Technical Marketing to understand our products, technologies and services.

oContinuously help develop our solutions by providing feedback from the field.

oHelp our partners refine their go-to-market strategy and technical portfolio.

oPrepare model RFP's and response to customer RFP's.

oConduct technical workshops for Customers, Partners and internal teams.

oUnderstand competitor offerings and provide input to the sales team on product positioning and differentiation.

oRepresent Cisco on community forums and customer facing events.

oHandle post-sales customer concerns and resolve issues, by coordinating and working with all internal and external stakeholders.

oUse internal tools and programs to plan and deliver high quality demonstrations.

Who Youll Work With

Cisco Pre-sales delivers the message about the vital role the network plays to our customers and partners.

New demands on the network are calling for new solutions: SDN, Campus Fabric, SD-Access, SD-WAN, Fog Computing, secure networks that can sense and detect security threats and more importantly Network Programmability to address Orchestration, automation and insight needs of our customers.

We help customers understand how to use these state of the art networks and make it possible for them to achieve their business goals in ways they would never have envisioned.

The network touches everything: come and define it with us.

Who You Are

oYou bring years of experience in pre-sales engineering or technical customer facing.

oPersonal interest for technical innovations.

oYou have BS or MS degree in computer science, computer engineering or related discipline.

oPreferably, have CCNA, CCNP or CCIE certifications.

oExcellent written and verbal communication skills.


oSome knowledge of: Routing, Switching, Wireless, Data Centre, network orchestration, Collaboration technologies, Security, IOT, and Video.

oKnowledge of Cisco products and Cisco certifications are preferred.

oProgrammability skills: REST, Python, Ruby, JAVA, C#

Preferred skills and experience:

oExperience with Big Data, PaaS, and IaaS technologies.

oExperience architecting and developing software or infrastructure for scalable, distributed systems.

oAdept at using initiative to apply technical solutions to complex sales opportunities.

oAdept at customer interactions from the CIO through to technical staff.

oKnowledge of sales cycle.

oImpactful verbal and written communication and strong presentation skills.

oGreat relationship building skills, tenacity, resilience.

oAbility to work independently and remotely as well as with your team to accomplish objectives.

oAbility to train and coach others in our enterprise technologies.
