A career in Information Technology, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to support our core business functions by deploying applications that enable our people to work more efficiently and deliver the highest levels of service to our clients. Youll focus on managing the design and implementation of technology infrastructure within PwC, developing and enhancing both client and internal facing applications within PwC, and providing technology tools that help create a competitive advantage for the Firm to drive strategic business growth.Our Technical Infrastructure and Transformation team assists PwC with information technology transformation efforts, helping us to improve our business value through optimising our information technology capabilities. Youll help PwC understand, plan for, and realise strategic business opportunities in information technology.


As a Manager, youll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Proactively assist in the management of a portfolio of clients, while reporting to Senior Managers and above
  • Be involved in the financial management of clients
  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
  • Contribute to the development of your own and teams technical acumen
  • Develop strategies to solve complex technical challenges
  • Assist in the management and delivering of large projects
  • Train, coach, and supervise staff
  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
  • Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

Job Requirements and Preferences: 

Basic Qualifications: 

Minimum Degree Required: 
High School Diploma

Minimum Years of Experience: 
4 year(s) of progressive roles managing IT infrastructure standards and transformation. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Degree Preferred: 
Bachelor Degree

Preferred Fields of Study: 
Information Technology, Computer Systems Analysis, Management Information Systems, Computer Applications, Computer Engineering, Computer Programming, Systems Engineering

Preferred Knowledge/Skills: 

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader in planning, implementing and deploying IT Infrastructure projects, including the following areas:

  • Core domains of IT Infrastructure such as Data Networks, Voice systems, Server hardware and Operating Systems, Storage and Backups, and related monitoring and management systems;
  • Enterprise technologies, authentication and authorization schemes (Active Directory, LDAP etc.);
  • Business plan translation into Infrastructure technical objectives that will be used for infrastructure design guidance for the Firms' IT environments;
  • Current Wireless technologies and protocols;
  • Layer 2/3 technologies and routing protocols;
  • Cloud computing technologies and advanced analytics; and,
  • Design and architecture of datacenter technologies including data center switches, firewall, proxy servers, web filters, load balancers, storage and virtualization from various vendors.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Supervise/manage a geographically dispersed team of at least 8 members, both onshore and offshore;
  • Procurement responsibilities, including providing vendor management and license management;
  • Provide leadership/management over technical operations; and,
  • Understand and apply project management principles

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader in defining application technical design guidance to align US and UK toward identical systems, including the following areas:

  • Work collaboratively to provide design guidance services to sourcing vendor for specific projects that follows the enterprise architecture vision and adheres to applicable application technology roadmaps and standards;
  • Understand and mitigate the impact of technical design to security, performance and data privacy;
  • Communicate effectively at different levels within and outside the organization, leadership/management, business stakeholders, software vendors and sourcing suppliers;
  • Provide thought leadership on use of specific application technology for innovation and/or cost reduction;
  • Be a team player and lead multi-disciplinary teams in resolving complex technical issues;
  • Maintain network technologies roadmap and official technical architecture documents;
  • Design infrastructure systems with proven and current technologies and solutions from VMware (vSphere, View, vCenter) HP (Hyper Converged and Blade Systems); and,
  • Demonstrates knowledge of systems including EMC Unity, Proliant, Isilon and HP C7000.
