Become part Cisco's fast growing and exciting Security Engineering team. Our services span across control visibility, crypto, compliance & workflow and vulnerability management.  The Technical Operations team is a new emerging team aimed at building out cloud ops, continuous integration & deployment pipelines, and common components across the Security Engineering development teams.   
 
What You'll Do 

You will lead the technical operations team, partnering with the SecEng CTO & product management team, to build out a layer of common components to enable mature DevOps across the organization.  You will also partner with Engineering-IT to align on their future vision of software development.  The priorities in this area will be around deployment models to the cloud, primarily serverless and container based, including common CI/CD pipelines, Terraform modules, metrics collection, monitoring automation, and generally consolidation of architecture.  You will also be responsible for overseeing a centralized support team for SecEng services.

Who You'll Work With 

In this role you will work with the technical operations engineering team, comprised of security engineers, cloud software engineers, and site reliability engineers.  You will also work with technical and functional leads across SecEng to both understand their needs and influence adoption.  We, and the software development teams we enable, operate in a fast-paced, agile, development environment.  We leverage the power of continuous integration and deployment, automate solid engineering conventions, and embrace the Cisco culture.  

 

Who You Are 

Qualified candidates should possess: 

5+ years of technical management experience 

Knowledge and understanding of continuous integration & deployment automation, including container and serverless deployment models, metrics collection and monitoring 

Experience working and leading technical teams, with clear understanding of software development practices. 

Experience designing and running a support process, including case workflow, escalation processes and on-call rotation.  

Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying business initiatives across organizational functions with a strong focus on results 

Demonstrated ability to communicate with different audiences (staff to senior executives) and for different purposes (informational to persuasive) 

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to a successful outcome regardless of reporting structure and organizational level 

Ability to develop strategic goals and monitor, track and report progress.
