The IOT Technical Communication team at Cisco is looking for an experienced documentation manager to lead us in our journey to redefine the content experience for our customers.

Cisco is a pioneer in IoT and we enable our customers and partners for business transformation. We help them securely and automatically connect their IoT devices to the network to extract, compute and move their IoT data and drive better business outcomes.

What Youll Do

The global initiatives were driving to transform the customer experience present a host of exciting opportunities for technical communication professionals. As a documentation manager at Cisco, you will:

  • Manage a team of writers at Cisco; this includes all aspects of people, process, and project management - performance planning, employee engagement, resource allocation across projects, tracking of project and quality metrics, vendor management, and financial planning.
  • Drive innovation and experiment with new-age content formats, information architecture, and rich media.
  • Identify opportunities to improve quality, usability, and productivity.
  • Tap trends in the technical writing industry and infuse new thinking into the team.
  • Gain an in-depth understanding of customer asks through internal/external connects to pilot innovative content development and delivery methods.
  • Lead initiatives with Cisco Technical Communications, as required, that help drive the organization forward in areas such as content strategy, tools, innovation, and customer-centric documentation practices.
  • Collaborate effectively on global teams and promote a spirit of inclusiveness to ensure that diverse perspectives are valued.

 What You Need

  • Strong team leadership and stakeholder management skills and experience
  • Strategic thinking skills and demonstrated thought leadership in the technical communication industry
