Technical Leader - Common Hardware Group

The Business Entity
Core Hardware Group develops innovative, high-density high speed Switching and Routing products.

The Team
The team designs, implements, and delivers cutting edge Switching and Routing products. You will be part of the dynamic and passionate team working on innovative state of the art projects.

Role & Responsibilities
In this highly visible role as Technical Lead Engineer, you will
● Lead networking system design on Service provider routers
● Drive product development from concept to production in a fast paced environment where cost, quality and time to market are critical factors
● Collaborate with cross-functional disciplines including CAD, software, diagnostics, mechanical, signal integrity, thermal, compliance and manufacturing
● Root cause and resolve problems and issues during system bring up, Design Validation Testing and Manufacturing builds
● Mentor junior engineers in various aspects of system design

Minimum Qualifications
● Experience with high-speed (10G SERDES or higher) system design and/or industry standard CPU complex design PCIe Gen2/Gen3
● Must have shipped multiple products from concept to customer
● Experience with concept, allegro, sigrity and similar industry standard tools
● Experience with lab bring up, EDVT, MDVT, EMC, ODVT
● Strong understanding of signal integrity concepts and issues, on board power design, Thermal, Mechanical, EMC and DFM considerations
● Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience with BSEE, or MSEE

Desired Skills
● Experience with designing CPU complex using X86/ARM processors and DDR4/GDDR5 and similar memory technologies
● Experience with 1G/10G/40G/100G/400G Ethernet
● Experience with PCIe, USB, I2C, MDIO, Ethernet, DDR protocols
● Experience designing optical interfaces for SFP+, QSFP, QSFP28, PAM4, CFP2 and similar optical technologies
● Experience with IEEE Compliance Standards for various Ethernet speeds
● Experience designing control/data path FPGAs using Verilog, Synthesis, Simulation tools
● Familiar with scripting and automation
