We are building smart data systems that ingest, model and analyze massive flow of data from online, social, mobile and offline commerce/user activity to set prices for millions of products in real time. We use state of the art machine learning, data mining and optimization algorithms underneath it all to analyze all this data on top of Hadoop/HBase/Hive. We then build compelling data visualizations and interactive dashboards to showcase our work internally and externally.

The Technical Product Manager will work with data scientists and engineers to implement strategies to implement complex fraud detection algorithms, device fingerprinting etcetera to detect and stop fraud scenarios like account take over (ATO).

This is the team of world class Data Scientists, Application Engineers, Analysts and Operations specialists that are responsible for the tools and system that help stop Fraud and Gaming activity. We use our own state of the art machine learning tools complemented by third party tools and our operations team to minimize fraud and abuse on Walmart.com. Your work will be immediately visible to millions of people and you will have a direct impact on the business goals of a Fortune #1 company.

The Product Manager will be responsible for the feature roadmap; feature development, from design through QA and release; third party tool evaluation, selection and integration; as well as assisting in analytics to improve processes and procedures. They will also coordinate with the front end, order management and other teams to build the appropriate fraud prevention and abuse features throughout shopping and order pipeline. They will work with the broader portfolio of eCommerce companies to influence their roadmaps and fraud tools. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated passion for working with data to find areas of opportunity, solving problems, and driving change throughout the organization. This role will be key in taking Walmart.coms fraud and abuse-fighting capabilities to the next level.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from a rigorous undergraduate program with demonstrated high academic achievement; preferably a Math or Technical degree

Min of 5+ years of relevant product management experience

Proficiency in using analytical software to drive data-driven decisions and measure project/program success (SQL experience a plus)

Excellent organizational and communication skills with strong attention to detail

Drive end-to-end integration with partner teams. Experience with troubleshooting REST based APIs.

Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly and convincingly to a wide range of audiences, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners.

Demonstrated experience in delivering technology products/services in a high growth environment, ambiguous environment.

Ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly and understand how to drive a high level of focus and excellence with a strong, talented, opinionated team.

Ability to lead, drive consensus and deliver in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders.

High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneouslyAdditional Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree (MBA) or advanced technical degree

Experience in fraud prevention in the eCommerce industry

Experience in payments or retail financial services industry.

Experience with one or more programming languages (e.g.: Java, Python, R etc.)

An understanding of large scale systems and service oriented architecture

Passion for technology, willingness to dive deep into the technical products Walmart is building, and commitment to learning and expanding technical knowledge
