[What Youll Do]
The Technical Solution Specialist (TSS) is a customer-focused technical sales professional who provides high level technical support and guidance to customers, partners, Cisco Sales and Engineers. Collaborates with Sales and Engineers to recommend and develop appropriate customer solution offerings.
The TSS is familiar with a wide variety of products and technologies and is a specialist in at least one Architecture where the majority of their time will be spent. The TSS shares knowledge and best practices throughout the GVE Community.
Most engagements are handled via virtual tools (webex, video devices, phone, etc.). The TSS works in a pooled fashion supporting requests Globally.
1. Provide Pre-sales deal support, response to technical inquires as Security Architecture Specialist.
2. Deliver Customer facing Services like: Demos, Customer Engagements, Design Assistance, Consultative selling.
3. Develop the technical response to RFPs and the technical elements or approach for the proposal, including products, solutions, software, and services.
4. Provide pre-sales activities for Cisco AM, SE, Customer and Partner.
5. Handle Escalation and communication to Business Units of Security products.
6. Provide proactively business contribution by building business relationship with the teams that relevant to Security business as TSS.
7. Proactively support your global colleagues through your leadership.
8. Provide knowledge and experience to your relevant teams.
[Role & Responsibilities]
TSS is expected to look the initial request intended to clarify and confirm the requirements before focusing on an accurate response and identify if there are opportunities to upsell or cross sell. Create relevant proposal documentation, provide presentation or demonstration to book the deal. Develop the technical elements or approach for the proposal, including products, solutions, software, and services, and the technical response to RFPs.

[Minimum Qualifications]
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications):
- B-Tech, BE, or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of presales experience in technical position
- Customer facing experience within presales or consulting
- Excellent Japanese written, oral communication, listening, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of Cisco Security products and technologies.
- Knowledge on how to handle RFP specifications.
- Strong leadership to contribute team growth.
- Proactively self-learning motivation to catch up new technologies and products.
- Basic English listening skill.
[Desired Qualifications]
- Technical presales experience with Secure Internet Gateway, FW, MFA and network authentication.
-Have a basic understanding of how to contrast and differentiate Cisco's end to end architectural value.
- Industry Certifications like CCNP (Security), CCIE (Security).
- Working towards any industry led certification such as CISSP, CISA, CEH or public cloud.
- Knowledge of programmability (python, REST API, Netconf Yang, Ansible).
- Knowledge of Software lifecycle selling.
- Social Media savvy.
- Communicate actively in English Language.
When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. hiring location. The recruiter can share more details about compensation for the role in your location during the hiring process.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco pays at the standard rate of 1% of incentive target for each 1% revenue attainment against the quota up to 100%. Once performance exceeds 100% quota attainment, incentive rates may increase up to five times the standard rate with no cap on incentive compensation. For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
