Introduction
This position leads the technical resolution of customer and IBM backup infrastructure problems after transition to steady state.
This is done through knowledge of backup platforms, storage devices and ability to troubleshoot complex issues. The position involves taking a leadership role with customer teams and internal teams to resolve problems, maintain managed backup operations and, when necessary, to return systems to operational status.
The focus of this role is for a specific dedicated customer in the industrial sector and Level 2/3 support skills with Commvault are needed.
The position requires the ability to develop solutions to stabilise customer environments. The position needs basic know-how of local area network components to support problem resolutions. The job also involves leading communication between technical teams, customer and internal organisation to fulfill customer needs and accomplish customer satisfaction.

Required Professional and Technical Expertise
  • Level 3/Subject Matter Expert skills in Commvault (3+ years).
  • Level 2 skills in Netbackup (2+ years).
  • Ability to drive solutions in backup and recovery space (3+ years).
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders for a demanding client (3+ years).


Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise
  • Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris OS, DB/2, Oracle, Exchange, and SQL (all 1-3 years)
