Roux is seeking temporary, part-time or full-time Environmental Technician to perform field tasks associated with the Operations and Maintenance of a Stormwater Treatment System at our project site in Everett, Massachusetts. Candidates should be prepared to work as a team to achieve project objectives and remediation system optimization.

Position Requirements

• Ability to work 10 PM to 6 AM
• Minimum Industrial Grade 2 Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator License
• Ability to perform physical labor including the ability to physically move around outdoors in various terrains, routinely lift and carry objects, operate machinery, and climb ladders to access equipment
• A positive, team-oriented attitude
• Understanding environmental and health & safety regulations and performing work in a compliant manner with regulations, system Operation and Maintenance Manual and facility safety requirements.
• Use of a valid driver's license is required to travel to work site

Essential Duties

• Comply with all health and safety requirements associated with the operation and maintenance of the Stormwater Treatment System
• Monitor process controls in accordance with the Operation and Maintenance Manual, including flow rates, liquid levels, pressure levels, temperature(s) and turbidity levels
• Monitor system alarms for potential operating problems, equipment failure and unusual operating events
• Monitor critical safety devices
• Perform inspection and maintenance on system components to ensure or restore proper operation and compliance
• Monitor the automatic back flush or manually back flush the multimedia filtration and GAC vessels, as necessary
• Complete record keeping requirements including system calibration, maintenance and performance data records.
