Vendor Manager II - Risk COO

**Job Description:**

The Global Risk COO division is looking for a Vendor Manager II to join our team. This role will be a member of the Global Risk Management Business Controls Team within the Global Risk Management COO Function. The candidate will also be on point to oversee transactional activity via Purchase Orders and invoice payments, when needed.

The candidate will maintain relationships with Vendors that support the Global Risk Management disciplines. The Vendor Manager will be responsible for a portfolio of vendors (600 plus) ensuring the coordination and execution of deliverables of the Enterprise Vendor Management program throughout the contractual lifecycle. May serve as an Enterprise Vendor Manager or a Vendor Manager. Candidate will work closely with Process Owners in Global Risk Management, Procurement and Global Information Security. The candidate will also ensure Vendor meets agreed upon performance outcomes via Service Level Agreements, Key Performance Indications, and will escalate Vendor Risk and Issues via established Governance routines.

Required skills & experience:

+ Self starter, organized, versatile, and capable of performing work with minimal direction and leading others

+ Strong critical thinking skills and demonstrated ability to balance risk / reward in the decision making process

+ 7-10 years of Vendor Management / Procurement Program management experience in a large, global organization

+ 5-7+ years of experience with internal control teams and ability to partner effectively with clients, peers and external providers in order to ensure delivery fully integrated services

+ Effective leadership and partnering skills, persuasive, ability to work in a highly matrixed organization.

+ Ability to take ownership and a voracious learner,Strong attention to detail

+ Process adherence, Quality Assurance, Quality Control skill sets

Desired skills:

+ Experience regarding Real Estate Valuation & Appraisal vendors that value real estate collateral, perform site inspection services and Business Valuation vendors for commercial transactions for domestic and international businesses.

+ Ensure Environmental Due Diligence & Engineering services are performed adequately by these vendors.

+ Experience on Third Party Oil & Gas reserves vendors supporting Enterprise Credit Risk's credits secured by oil & gas reserves.

+ Knowledge of the Risk disciplines within Global Risk Management with a strong acumen to identify, connect and integrate across the org

+ Project Management experience

+ Six Sigma Black / Green Belt

+ Supply Chain Management background

Enterprise role overview:

Manages performance and mitigates risk for vendors aligned to High risk product or service categories which may cross or support multiple LOBs or ECFs. Identifies potential risks, implements key controls, and is accountable for validating BAC's performance and risk objectives are met through contract adherence. Collaborates with Sourcing in establishing appropriate contractual terms. Serves as the primary liaison between Vendor and end user. Proactively Identifies issues and emerging risks and takes swift action to resolve or escalate as appropriate. Measures vendor performance and other expectations as per the contract and program requirements. Proactively manages the satisfaction of the business with the vendor to constantly reevaluate their needs. Influences the vendor's technology direction in order to support BAC direction. Responsible for the coordination and execution of Global Vendor Management Program (GVMP) deliverables. May facilitate cross functional communication and work efforts between Vendor Managers and LOB stakeholders. May develop and execute cross-functional objectives and strategies for relationships managed. Influences peers and senior management within the LOBs and ECFs to take action on complex, technical or sensitive topics that have companywide impact. Responsible for proactively identifying issues and emerging risks and bringing immediate visibility to appropriate senior leaders, and for managing incremental deliverables and stakeholder routines in accordance with Enterprise Critical Standards. Enterprise Critical Vendor Managers (ECVMs) also use this job code. (Note: this role is the primary role a person fulfills.)
