Unit Description

We are looking for an INNOVATIVE LEADER to manage The North American region of the GlaxoSmithKline Global Account - Sodexo is searching for Vice President of Operations-Facilities Management in the Corporate Service segment. This is a prestigious Global account with a portfolio comprising commercial, R&D and manufacturing sites in the USA, Asia, UK. The USA portfolio is $26 million covering (7) sites, providing hard, soft and culinary services in addition to managing contracted services.  The locations are in the greater Philadelphia area, Marietta, PA, Warren, NJ, Rockville, MD and Raleigh, NC.   

 

We are looking for a leader with executive presence; proven ability to drive results and provide exceptional service; possesses client influencing skills and is experienced in developing high performing teams and the next generation of leaders.  This position requires a strategic leader, capable of managing complex projects and the ability to successfully integrate services and sites within the requirements of a newly signed MSA. 

 

Prior experience in the Pharma/Life Science Segment is required.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Strong operational leadership of multiple sites and services
  • Ability to deliver exceptional Soft/Hard FM services and culinary solutions. 
  • Through operational excellence, provide continued innovation and value add services
  • Develops exceptional client relations and ability to grow services
  • Build and foster relationships across Sodexo internally to ensure additional market growth & promotion of comprehensive solutions to the client.
  • Collaborate with the management team in providing strategic direction and growth
  • Drive solutions that optimize the account portfolio.
  • Owns, and leads, the efforts in associate and leader growth and development - through mentoring, coaching and succession planning
  • Ensure the organizations core values are modeled & driven throughout the region.

This VPO role will be expected to travel throughout region in USA which is very close in proximity to Philadelphia.  Travel globally will be once or twice a year.  

 

 

 

Position Summary

The Vice President of Facilities Operations leads facilities maintenance operations of building(s) and property at a single mega-site or multi-site unit with four levels of management reporting up to this position.  This position leads the integration of processes within the client organization to maintain and develop agreed services which support and improve the effectiveness of its primary activities.  At the organizational level, the Vice President of Facilities Operations contributes to the delivery of strategic and operational objectives by reducing facility costs, and improving the productivity, revenue generating capacity and image of the entire organization. This position ensures a safe and efficient working environment, essential to the performance of the business.  The Vice President of Facilities Operations manages construction work and may coordinate and/or oversee contracted services for major construction. The position often manages other core Sodexo services, and/or  logistics of business/operations services, e.g., grounds keeping, laundry, food, security, inventory, mail, concierge services.

 

 

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience- 10 years

Basic Functional Experience- 10 years in facilities management, engineering, management of business/operations service in both soft and hard facilities services
