**Unit Description**

Sodexo Healthcare segment has an exciting opportunity for a **Vice President, Business Development and Sales** to support the growth in the **Western region of the United States** .

**Due to the high travel requirements (average 50% but, could be up to 80%), living near a major airport is essential in the respective Western part of the US.**

This leadership position will be responsible for developing new business with the hospital business portfolio selling value-added services including but not limited to Food Service, Engineering, Environmental Services, Wellness, and Nutrition. The Vice President, of Sales, enhances, develops, and sustains continued sales growth for the Company. Supports and implements business practices to grow the business and reduce operating costs based on knowledge of organizational strengths and weaknesses, technological advances, external trends, competitors, and customer needs. Acting as the lead executive for Sodexo, they provide complete growth management and strategy of their assigned Health Care region and team members. The ideal candidates will possess a successful track record of growing a business and building critical, trusting relationships, and influencing decision-makers.

**The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:**

+ Develops the sales strategy and directs the sales process for a specific geography or functional area within a Division.

+ Directs and develops Sales teams.

+ Develops and implements the business plan, budget, and forecasts to achieve sales, market share, account retention, or market growth targets to attain overall financial goals.

+ Develops a strategic plan to ensure that long-term goals, vision, objectives, and overall direction support corporate long-term goals and objectives.

+ Identifies the customers objectives and describes how Sodexo can meet those objectives.

+ Maintains current and accurate data, client information, prospect information, and competitive analyses.

+ Determines customer needs, develops solutions, and recommends a course of action to key decision-makers, based on analysis of the customers objectives, needs, and problems.

+ Builds and maintains relationships with Senior Customer Management (e.g., CEO, COO, CFO) to develop horizontal sales opportunities.

+ Ensures that direct reports identify customer needs and focus on customer satisfaction in the performance of all job activities.

+ Provides oversight to ensure the integrity of the sales process and those involved.

+ Identifies potential projects and endeavors consistent with corporate vision and mission that will increase profitability.

+ Monitors and reviews the implementation of strategic plans to ensure goals and objectives are met.

**The ideal candidate will have the following skills:**

+ Demonstrated experience in complex, sales processes. Experience researching, analyzing, and uncovering client objectives and relevant information.

+ Strong Digital presence

+ Ability to lead and inspire a team

+ Ability to analyze financial data, develop a financial model and create win/win solutions.

+ Self-motivated, with a strong work ethic and personal drive to meet and exceed objectives.

+ Effective written and verbal communication and negotiating skills.

+ Ability to develop and maintain professional, trusting, positive working relationships with clients, colleagues, consultants, and vendors.

+ Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet established goals and objectives

+ Advanced computer skills in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

+ Executive/C Suite level sales experience

+ Proven ability to meet and exceed sales and strategic goals

+ Well organized and pays attention to details

**Position Summary**

Responsible for leading all sales and business development activities and teams in a segment in a region. Advising the business, developing sales approaches and resources and leading strategic bids to achieve economic and commercial performance. Reports to the Global Sales and Business Development Head, Segment.

Purpose of the Job and characteristics:

+ Advise the segment on achieving profitable growth through business development

+ Establish a true Business Development approach and action plan to develop business in the markets identified

+ Devise Segment Region sales strategy and help set sales objectives and resources allocation by region

+ Manage sales as a portfolio across the region in order to achieve targets and ensure a consistent sales process globally and the transfer of best practices

+ Act as the voice of our customer at global segment leadership level to communicate customer demands, offer needs, and market realities

+ Ensure the transfer of best practices from deals/customer solutions across region

+ Work on strategic prospects and bidding processes for the largest or most strategic deals; own the customer relationship

**Qualifications & Requirements**

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 10 years

Basic Functional Experience - 10 years
