The Vice President of 503B Compounding will lead a team to administer the process of manufacturing sterile compounds in accordance to cGMP standards. The position is responsible for interfacing with senior management on the health of the business, directly leading the operations, and supporting cross team collaboration to achieve business goals and evolve 3 year strategy. The leader will support compliance with all applicable laws and of regulations for the cGMP / 503B enterprise and supervises professional, technical, and support staff; and performs related duties as required.

Primary Responsibilities:

    ""
  • Provide 503B pharmacy services to medical practitioners
  • ""
  • Provide operational scheduling and production control ensuring that order fulfillment, order accuracy, and technician and pharmacist productivity is optimized
  • ""
  • Oversee the production process of sterile compounded products and their timely order fulfillment
  • ""
  • Oversee the preparation of all necessary records on lots, orders, and inventory
  • ""
  • Oversee inventory management and maintain inventory levels commensurate with demand
  • ""
  • Create organizational goals through the use of relevant metrics to optimize talent and resources
  • ""
  • Work cooperatively with Sales and Finance to provide business management reports and projections
  • ""
  • Provide guidance, training and supervision to pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, fulfillment techs, shipping and receiving personnel during course of work and monitors performance with benchmarked, established metrics
  • ""
  • Coach, council, mentor, educate direct reports as appropriate to meet or exceed established goals and succession planning
  • ""
  • Work within the existing UHG CAP program to document any corrective actions
  • ""
  • Follow and/or establish policies, procedures and objectives to attain continuous quality improvement objectives and the highest quality standard
  • ""
  • Responsible for achieving 503B pharmacy operating goals related to business objectives which will maximize revenue gains, meet compliance, optimize cost and employee engagement
  • ""
  • Identify and drive process improvements and productivity
  • ""
  • Develop a highly engaged workforce
  • ""
  • Ensure all Adverse Drug Events are reported to compliance as per company policy
  • ""
  • Service and satisfy professionals questions regarding compounded products
  • ""
  • Provide excellent customer service in following up on all service and quality related events
  • ""
  • Work with regulators and ensure compliance with all company procedures and federal and state laws, rules, and regulations
  • ""
  • Be comfortable and effective working in a complex and matrix environment
  • ""
  • Lead transformation of business operations to use automation

Required Qualifications:

    ""
  • Bachelors degree in Pharmacy or Business
  • ""
  • 5+ years of leadership experience including supervisory experience in management of production operations in a high-volume FDA regulated or pharmacy environment
  • ""
  • 3+ years of experience in a 503B facility
  • ""
  • Deep understanding and commitment to compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), all company procedures and federal and state laws, rules and regulations related to compounded medication
  • ""
  • Employees are required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener prior to entering the work site each day, in order to keep our work sites safe. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained
