Reporting to the Head of Transformation Communications on the Corporate Communications team, the Vice President of Transformation Communications will provide strategic planning, campaign management and tactical coordination to drive Prudentials enterprise transformation.  

The individual in this role will work closely with the Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) and key partners (e.g., HR, Chief of Staff, Technology) to create, manage and execute against integrated communication campaigns designed to inform employees, customers, media and shareholders about Prudentials transformation. The strategy should drive appropriate action to ensure that all transformation communications-related initiatives are aligned to the companys strategic priorities.

As a senior leader within Prudentials Global Communications function, this role is also expected to be a cultural ambassador for the function, living our culture of continuous learning.  This role will serve as a partner to educate leaders/partners on the full suite of capabilities available from Global Communications as we continue to modernize Prudential.    

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the CTO and other key stakeholders to develop, align and refine integrated, data-driven communications campaigns that deliver against communications objectives by audience, channel, and work stream in support of business outcomes 

  • Partner with key stakeholders to develop content that supports transformation communications plan, including messaging documents, FAQs, slide decks, videos, podcasts, Town Halls, webcasts, etc.

  • Use qualitative and quantitative tools and analysis to measure effectiveness of communications and to drive further engagement going forward and adjust our communications strategy 

  • Manage a high-performing communications team to build trust, nurture creativity, deliver results, and foster career growth & development 

  • Manage agency partners and consultants to help navigate spikes in activity and/or partner on idea generation and future planning

  • Collaborate with a network of communicators to share best practices, ask for input, provide guidance, and share updates


  • Bachelor's degree (Graduate degree is a plus)
  • 12-15 years experience in internal communications, including 5 years of managerial experience
  • Detail-oriented, excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize high volume of activity, meeting immediate deadlines while also advancing long-term strategic initiatives 
  • Experience working in a large, matrixed global organization
  • Strong executive presence, ability to influence senior executives and successfully negotiate with partners and peers 
  • Deep understanding of modern communication practices and channel activation
  • Strong verbal and writing skills, as well as ability to present information and ideas logically and clearly; keen eye for detail also required
  • Ability to take multiple inputs and balance conflicting requests to drive to high-quality deliverables 
  • Serve as a senior-doer, work independently when needed or leading a larger team, to achieve high-quality deliverables and manage multiple project elements at the same time
  • Collaborative team player able to integrate with a diverse team and contribute on both a strategic and tactical level
  • Respects diversity of opinions and styles, and accepts accountability and responsibility
  • Experience moving a company through a large-scale transformation (Preferred)
  • Financial services experience (Preferred)
