VP, Chief Operating Office / Financial Management Support Associate

**Job Description:**

This is a Chief-Operating-Office (COO) role for the FX Technology team, based in the US - preferably Chicago and working closely with the London based COO function.

The focus of the role will cover the following four areas. It is expected applicants can demonstrate a strong skillset in at least two of these, and be prepared to quickly master the other requirements.

**Financial Management**

+ Financial forecasting and analysis of forecasts vs. actual

+ Resource management managing hiring requests and approvals against budgets, forecasting, contract/contractor management

+ Vendor management - including A/P process, statements of work, and forecasting run rates

+ Interact across the organisation daily on the above. Work weekly/monthly with senior FX management on business/organizational reviews (headcount ratios, hiring status, financials, etc.)

**Project Management Oversight**

+ Perform FX project oversight to produce consolidated Line of Business level project reporting. Ensure accurate and timely reporting across the broad portfolio of projects run by FX Technology by coordinating between corporate governance team and the project managers to ensure alignment in the usage of the internal tools used to track cross-LOB programs within GT&O

+ Capture key project metrics and information for executive level reporting

+ Run monthly project reviews with senior management and the front office on current project activities and status

+ Work with the Project Managers on developing their forecasts (resources, budget)

+ Work across the globally distributed Technology teams on frequent ad hoc initiatives and requests

**Operational Risk Management**

+ Identify and address operational risk and control issues within FX Technology

+ Work across the FX Technology team when operational issues are identified and help compile and track back to green plans.

+ Enforce and perform Compliance coordination to ensure the FX Technology teams are meeting all the control requirements

**Manage the People Agenda**

+ Manage a large population of management requests of information for executive level meetings, business presentations, corporate communications, etc.

+ Help define and maintain the people agenda location strategy, promotion processes, people development, employee engagement, and training


+ Very strong verbal and written communication skills - must be able to:

+ Work remotely from UK team

+ Interact productively with team members across FX Technology in multiple locations and time zones

+ Engage with senior management / executive level management

+ Present data and messages clearly and concisely

+ Adaptable / flexible to respond to constantly changing business and Tech & Ops demands

+ Proven ability to learn and develop new skills in role

+ Strong control mind-set: have a superior business acumen, with the ability to question and probe data and processes

+ Intermediate/Expert MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint, to track and manage many different types of efforts and data

+ Self-starter, self-motivated and delivery focused

+ Strong attention to detail skills

+ Good Problem solving skills

+ Extremely organized/Good time management skills.

**_Enterprise Description_**

_Manages diverse administrative functions usually for a very large, complex department or business unit. Functions managed may include: financial control/budgeting and consolidation, personnel processes, audit/compliance, premises, and coordination of certain projects, associate training, service quality, process improvement, business continuity, or communication. May consult with senior management to define and manage projects that encompass and impact many associates. Requires a thorough knowledge of the department or business unit's functional area or products. Working knowledge of general bank policies, programs and procedures and financial/accounting practices. May have full management responsibility over a team or may manage one level of managers._
