This individual will lead the Custom Marketing team and will be responsible for driving member engagement at some of the world's most iconic brands. Leading a team of consumer product marketers, this individual will oversee the development and implementation of marketing plans and omni-channel campaigns to drive consumer enrollment and engagement for client partners. The ideal candidate will collaborate with key partners across the organization to develop and leverage proprietary analytical models and consumer data and insights that will result in campaigns that drive meaningful behavior change. Reporting to the SVP, Head of Product Marketing for OptumHealth, this role will serve as key leader for the Product Marketing team.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive the annual and quarterly integrated product marketing planning process for Custom Marketing and client partners; proactively assume responsibility for leading and executing on strategic initiatives and projects, responding to requests, and serving as a key contact for Product Marketing
  • Lead Custom Marketing team in managing large client accounts to achieve program participation, value targets, and specific client objectives
  • Advance the Product Marketing analytical agenda by working to deliver financial metrics for all marketing initiatives; work with business partners to understand product-level economics and track marketing expenses so that Return on Marketing Investment can be calculated; develop and optimize A/B testing strategies to assess marketing impact; ensure necessary reporting is in place to track and measure activity, engagement, and financial metrics
  • Partner with UHC and Product Management to develop a new pricing model for the Custom Marketing team that incorporates an increasing shift to digital channels and provides for growth of the client portfolio
  • Develop and manage the appropriate level of resource investment to meet campaign objectives, goals and budget; accountable for driving to target outcomes within identified budget
  • Lead the Optum Custom Consumer Engagement growth strategy, develop and position team capabilities to support new business and growth opportunities; participate in critical new business pitches

  • Drives alignment across OptumHealth business units and shared service partners to create better coordination with business partners across Optum, UHG and related functional areas

  • Develop relationships with key internal marketing partners, including UHG, UHC, Rally, and Optum (OptumHealth, OptumBank, and OptumRx), leading opportunities for integration and collaboration by advocating for our customers' needs across the enterprise
  • Direct others to resolve business problems that affect multiple functions or disciplines
