As part of our large Fortune 100, we are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented individual to lead the digital acceleration of our Government Programs marketing organization, driving growth for our direct-to-consumer Medicare, Medicaid and Exchange products through paid media. This leader will be key in shifting our organization to an advanced digital-forward, customer-centric business, leveraging paid digital media channels to drive demand and growth for our products.

The right candidate will have demonstrated results-based digital media strategy and execution skills with a strong analytical mindset, leading with deep knowledge in SEM and other paid digital channels, effectively translating business strategy into SEM strategy, yet overseeing execution to drive acquisition growth through increasing and capturing demand for products.

The right candidate will have a proven track record of building teams and fostering an open yet performance-oriented culture. This individual should have experience in building and growing performance-driven digital media capabilities including SEM, social and display channels, while guiding the organization to capitalize on new and evolving digital channels and partners.

This role will support the organization as we advance towards an integrated omni-channel, data-driven marketing model, with an astute analytical viewpoint on consumer touchpoints across traditional and digital media as we engage with our unique and relevant consumers.

Primary Responsibilities:

Strategy / Execution

  • Partner with leadership to establish acquisition strategies to increase and capture demand, translating into repeatable, efficient SEM, social, display and affiliate results
  • Develop and lead customer-centric digital media strategies, starting with SEM, with accountabilities for channel performance and budget management
  • Understand and effectively communicate strategy performance to leadership outlining implications and / or pivots to SEM approach
  • Provide team oversight to execute complex SEM program with best-in-class optimization, bidding, account structure / campaign planning, testing, and targeting
  • Create productive relationships with leaders across the business to effectively execute cross-channel / cross-funnel consumer strategies (owned sites, other digital and traditional channels, call centers, etc.)
  • Partner with analytics leaders to evolve measurement and reporting to provide a holistic view of performance and optimization, advancing the value of digital attribution to sales

Team

  • Lead the evolution and acceleration of the digital team, including the identification of talent, design of org structure and creation of an open, authentic, results-oriented culture
  • Develop team including training, performance management, and near-term / long-term professional goal planning

Industry
  • Establish and foster effective relationships with Google / Bing bidding platform providers, and media agencies for access to insights, product roadmaps, and beta programs
  • Be informed on top emerging trends and new technologies impacting SEM as well as digital media more broadly
  • Be a digital expert across the business supporting evolution to a more digitally centric organization focused on growth, innovation and performance management
