Your Role and Responsibilities
The Product Marketing Manager of Imaging Solutions is responsible for telling the story of our radiology and cardiology healthcare IT products and services to the provider market. This position is tasked with strategically marketing solutions and is involved in defining the strategy of the overall marketing go-to-market plan, including developing and implementing demand generation campaign plans for the assigned portfolio. The product marketing manager will also be charged with integrating the IBM Watson Health story, showcasing differentiated offerings, promoting thought leadership, and developing lead generation programs with a focus on sales revenue goals and marketing responsiveness metrics. The product marketing manager will identify strategic industry conferences and events, develop plans to support our attendance, and manage an ongoing communications plan and resources needed to achieve goals and objectives, including ROI. The product marketing manager will be actively involved in the strategic direction of the business and will contribute to sales and revenue growth. The position reports to the Global Marketing Leader for Watson Health Imaging.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Working with sales, product management, and marketing leadership to understand market goals and priorities and translate them into focused marketing objectives.
  • Interviewing and surveying customers, defining requirements, and creating a go-to-market strategy, messaging and content plan to drive demand and lead generation activities.
  • Building competitive analyses, conducting win/loss analyses, understanding market trends, and providing insights to the business to help guide roadmap and strategy.
  • Crafting the go to market messages with clearly defined differentiators including artificial intelligence capabilities where applicable.
  • Developing market segment problem statements, using business cases and scenarios.
  • Collaborating cross functionally on market development, Design Think processes, selling and field solutions.
  • Grasping key market trends and competitor information; keeping abreast of emerging marketing approaches and best practices to develop an effective plan and continually improving marketing programs.
  • Delivering clear, compelling, and differentiated value propositions that position the strength of our solutions and connect with the market.
  • Designing and implementing robust product launches and managing the cross-functional implementation of the plan.
  • Providing differentiating value propositions, product positioning training, trade show business justification documents, and collateral content for the Sales and Marketing organizations at Merge.
  • Creating diverse marketing collateral like case studies, data sheets, whitepapers, FAQs, blog posts, ROI tools, sales presentation decks, etc.
  • Tracking feedback to measure performance and adjusting marketing accordingly.
  • Supporting work with analysts or journalists to ensure best message is delivered.

  • High degree of organization and ability to coordinate multiple priorities, resources, deadlines and projects with minimal supervision.
  • Cooperative attitude and flexibility to changing priorities is a must.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior level executives with a practical, "roll-up your sleeves" style.
  • Strong teaming capabilities with the ability to operate independently, affect change across functional areas, and take constructive input from multiple sources.
  • Ability to build strong trusted working relationships with internal and external business customers and executive level management; influencing without authority and managing stakeholders/clients expectations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Creative problem solver with the ability to provide both strategic and tactical direction.
  • Results oriented with a focus on what is working and what to improve to hit objectives.
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with cross-functional teams and third parties.
  • Knowledge of sales, marketing and development processes.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
  • 3+ years of software product marketing or product management experience
  • 5+ years of healthcare IT or other healthcare marketing or product management experience
  • Proven success in marketing of technology products and/or services; candidates with experience marketing to healthcare providers or relevant healthcare experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience in building innovative, proactive, high impact marketing campaigns using all relevant channels and media; and aligning marketing strategy with business goals.
  • Should have strong fundamental lead generation execution and measurement experience for improvement analysis.
  • Experience analyzing market/industry data including competitive intelligence to support new offering introductions and the development of marketing campaigns a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, Salesforce.com, Valkre, Pragmatic Marketing, and Adobe suite appreciated.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
  • MBA preferred
  • Experience marketing Artificial Intelligence technologies a plus
