Zavicefta Global Brand Director (HBU Global Marketing Launch Products team)

Zavicefta (ceftazidime-avibactam) is a new combination antibiotic for the treatment of patients with serious Gram-negative bacterial infections requiring hospitalization and is indicated for the treatment of adult patients suffering from complicated intra-abdominal infections (cIAI); Complicated urinary tract infections (cUTI), including pyelonephritis; hospital-acquired pneumonia (HAP), including ventilator associated pneumonia (VAP); and, the treatment of aerobic Gram-negative infections in adult patients who have limited treatment options. The brand was first launched in the EU in early 2017, and currently has over 50+ launched markets while also continuing new introductions around the globe.

Zavicefta has been developed in response to the urgent need for new antibiotics to treat serious infections that are becoming increasingly resistant, such as multi-drug resistant P. aeruginosa, carbapenem-resistant Gram-negative pathogens, and ESBL-producing Enterobacteriaceae.

The Zavicefta Global Brand Director is responsible for supporting the Zavicefta global team to ensure successful global launch introductions. He/she will support the lead development of promotional resources, using a true Glocal approach, leveraging markets insights, and partner for adoption with the local marketing teams to ensure consistent brand presence across the globe. In addition, he/she will lead any relevant congress related activity and digital platform initiatives.

In this role the Zavicefta Brand Director will;

+ Support the creation of relevant promotional materials and training materials to Regions & Markets (IDM/EM)

+ Work collaboratively (GLocal) with Regions and priority markets to ensure effective market level launches

+ Support the development of the Zavicefta KOL and advocacy strategy including management of relevant congresses and symposia and partner closely with Medical Affairs colleagues to ensure input and alignment regarding key customers

+ Partner with relevant X-functional colleagues such as PGS, Regulatory, Medical, GH&V and HEOR to ensure all launch deliverables are identified and delivered on time

+ Lead the development of new promotional campaign cycles based on customer insights, following the executional processes of the Glocal model. This includes timely delivery of the associated content and materials to markets.

Includes application of all materials within CANVAS


+ Following-in the GTM model, the ongoing update and implementation of the Zavicefta global launch plan & launch playbook in launching markets while supporting market level workshops including best practice platform sharing

+ Support Global Asset Lead in development of the annual Strategic Brand Guidance (SBG) Document & Operational Plan including tactical elements

+ Support the direct development of global marketing tactics/deliverables including;

+ Promotional materials and resources including relevant CCD update

+ Training materials in partnership with GCO

+ Integrated MCM strategy and tactics

+ Internal communications including brand newsletter and patient success tracking/sharing (Patient First)

+ Plan and execute Pfizer attendance at key congresses and lead symposia related activity

+ Establish strong working relationships and coordinate partnerships with local teams while serving as the Zavicefta Brand Lead for LATAM Region Markets: Establish strong working relationships with priority local markets (launch & pre-launch), Category Leads and EM implementation lead to ensure effective growth of Zavicefta, understand risks and opportunities, provide support and guidance as required while ensuring operational excellence and execution

+ Lead development and leverage of all applicable digital channels to widen the reach of the brand in the marketplace

+ Partner and align as needed with cross-functional colleagues in relevant departments including medical, clinical, regulatory, legal, GH&V, trade, communications, business technology, business analytics and insights, manufacturing and portfolio management

+ Work collaboratively with other TAs and BUs as needed to ensure aligned approaches to key customer groups e.g. Vaccines


+ Bachelors Degree in Science, Health Sciences or Business

+ 5-10 years pharmaceutical experience with broad knowledge of the industry and healthcare environment

+ Experience in marketing Anti-Infective products - selling to secondary care customers an advantage

+ Demonstrated track record of success in delivering top line revenue growth and bottom line performance

+ Robust prior brand marketing background (global/ regional / country level) with strong history of achievement and performance, strong financial acumen required, and solid working knowledge of sales and marketing relationships.

+ Strong interpersonal skills are required, as well as excellent verbal communication and presentation skills

+ Experience working across cultures and partnering with colleagues who represent a diverse selection of experiences and skills

+ Leadership, executive maturity and marketing skills to manage a flagship brand
